LEONARD COHEN

September 21, 2009 · 2 Comments

People MAESTREX: you must go to the concert wherever you can! Leonard Cohen, one of the best poet, novelist, and singer-songwriter all over the world and the most important: committed one. (75 five years old!!!)

Leonar Cohen

Over there, among his band there is a committed man wearing a black Armani suit. What a gentleman!!!. Sometimes the concert looks like a club, a soul, jazz, poets club inside wonderful atmosphere. It includes such songs as “Suzanne,” “Sisters of Mercy,” “So Long, Marianne” and “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye,” Songs of Love and Hate, “I’m Your Man”, “Hallelujah”, “First we take Manhatam” and…..and all the best Cohen songs. Please, look for your nearest concert place and enjoy it.

Travel Diary: Greetings from California

August 7, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Apologize for taking so long to thank you both for the wonderful walk we enjoyed in the Maestrazgo. It was indeed a labyrinth of silence (and of beauty). A self-guided walk provides just enough support to make a walk like this possible yet leaves so much of the discovery to the individual. We have shared some of the highlights (getting lost, the friendly villagers, the feeling of being back in time) with many friends.

Again many thanks,

Nancy and Tom Felling (California)

Fire in Maestrazgo area

August 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

black sun

It’s a hot summer night and  forest fires have been stoped here. This one -Maestrazgo- has already burnt out 6.000 hectares of a Mediterranean forest. Two hundred firefighters and volunteers have been fighting the flames for nearly 3 days. Thanks to their efforts, the fire has been brought under control. It’s Aragón’s worst year for wildfire since 1994, when 30,000 hectares of land were destroyed in the Maestrazgo area.

In the space of just three days, I managed to speak to every colleague, hostess, and friends and everybody in Labyrinth of Sailence is fine. Actually the most damaged area was from Collado Frio to the south although Montoro Valley was not burnt out.

That means we can enjoy the programme as usual. Now is time to recover the spirit of the illusion, time to be happy. If you prefer to forget the black sun picture, look at this:

Cheers; Groetjes; A+

Maestrazgo: Labyrinth of Silince Spirit (Travel Diary-Reisgenoten)

June 7, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Good morning  Ignatio,

Hope all is well with you.  Well, we found our way back home without having to phone you, and in one piece, except of course for a few blisters!

We would like to thank you very much Ignatio for your kindness and patience and for helping us when we were in trouble.  You are such a lovely person and it is a pleasure to know you.

We had a wonderful adventure on our trek, everyone we met was so kind and the accommodation and food were excellent.  We find it difficult to put into words the way we felt when we looked over the beautiful scenery and felt that we were the only two people on earth.  We took lots of photos and are keeping an album to remind us of our journey.

Please keep in touch Ignatio, as we would love to hear how you are doing.

I forgot to thank you for your lovely gift.  We have clipped a photo of both of us in it as a wonderful reminder.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards

Margaret and Nick

NEW EXPERIENCE HOLIDAYS

Hi Ignacio,

yesterday (June 5, 2009) we came back to Germany but our minds are still full with impressions from Maestrazgo.

I have just had a look at my pictures which I took on our Maestrazgo tour from Molinos to Mirambel and I thought to smell the odour of the herbes again.  It was a wonderful holiday! Optimal weather, excellent accomodation, friendly peolpe, beautiful landscape and the silence: Everything was perfect.  We will come back for sure.

Thank you again for your excellent support and organization.

All the best to you.

See you

Antonia & Heinz

dear Ignacio
thank you again for the beautifull walking-holliday in the Maestrazgo – evreything was perfect – I understand that you really love your “Maestrazgo” , the little villages, the people, the peacefull logies and hotels
we send you some pictures as a memory

greetings and “dank u wel”

jef and rita (los belgicas)

Hola Ignacio,

How are you? I wanted to let you know that I got very positive responses from the clients that went away in April and the beginning of May. They were all very positive despite the fact that some of them were not very lucky with the weather. I think it didn’t bother them too much. They were happy with the walks (distances, duration, level), the accommodations and the food. And, of course, they very much appreciated your excellent support and help

So far, so good. Let’s get on with it.

All the best,

Paul (Amsterdam)

Ola Ignacio,
We have enjoyed verry much our trip to Maestrazgo. The silence on the paths, the nice pueblos, the GR 8, and the verry kind and helpful people have made our trip “unforgetable”.
“El Canton” in La Cuba was verry good en they were also verry helpful. Afterwards we have stayed 2 nights in Vinaros in hotel “Teruel” It was oké!. We have told it to all our friends. We wish you a lot of walkers and success with Maestrex. Sorry about the late answer.
A lot of greetings from sunny “Antwerpen”
Adios y hasta la vista
Dense

Agosto 2007:
Mevr.

Chris y Emilio

Buenas noches,Ignacio,
We’re back in Belgium since Saturday evening.
Lieve and myself would like to thank you sincerely for the beautifull holidays we spend in your Maestrazgo, the mystic land of the Sound of Silence, that you’re developing on a ecological basis.
Splendid nature,good organisation,fine accommodation,natural food,most kind people,and important for us :good weather…a dream
Thanks again also for the file with pictures, that we will show to as many people as possible
Lieve and Herman Benoot

Hola Ignacio,

Perhaps you are guiding a group right now. Hope you enjoy yourself with the group members. First of all: I received a kind email from Raads saying that they had a wonderful holiday in the Maestrazgo. He specifically mentioned your great support and help as a guide, driver, advisor etc. (as everything really). I thought I’ll let you know, because it’s always nice if people respond and tell you how much they enjoyed it.
Paul
