Op Weg magazine and De Drie Koninkrijken

September 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Belgian journalist specialized in walking holidays was this week  with Maestrex.

Gilbert Bastiaensen from Op Weg, a Belgian magazine, had the opportunity to walked during 6 days The Three Kingdom (De Drie Koninkrijken). The hotel to hotel trekking programme is the new one of Maestrex. He could enjoy the friendly accommodation, amazing sceneries and the weather of this Mediterranean region. The walking tour started out from La Cañada de Verich (Bajo Aragón) and ended in Morella (Castellón province). Bajo Aragón, Matarranya and La Tinença de Benifassa -The three kingdom- give the name to the programme. The target of the press trip is to promote the region among Belgian people and the Mr. Bastiaensen’s article will be published at the beginning of 2010.

Fire in Maestrazgo area

August 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

black sun

It’s a hot summer night and  forest fires have been stoped here. This one -Maestrazgo- has already burnt out 6.000 hectares of a Mediterranean forest. Two hundred firefighters and volunteers have been fighting the flames for nearly 3 days. Thanks to their efforts, the fire has been brought under control. It’s Aragón’s worst year for wildfire since 1994, when 30,000 hectares of land were destroyed in the Maestrazgo area.

In the space of just three days, I managed to speak to every colleague, hostess, and friends and everybody in Labyrinth of Sailence is fine. Actually the most damaged area was from Collado Frio to the south although Montoro Valley was not burnt out.

That means we can enjoy the programme as usual. Now is time to recover the spirit of the illusion, time to be happy. If you prefer to forget the black sun picture, look at this:

Maestrazgo: Labyrinth of Silince Spirit (Travel Diary-Reisgenoten)

June 7, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Good morning  Ignatio,

Hope all is well with you.  Well, we found our way back home without having to phone you, and in one piece, except of course for a few blisters!

We would like to thank you very much Ignatio for your kindness and patience and for helping us when we were in trouble.  You are such a lovely person and it is a pleasure to know you.

We had a wonderful adventure on our trek, everyone we met was so kind and the accommodation and food were excellent.  We find it difficult to put into words the way we felt when we looked over the beautiful scenery and felt that we were the only two people on earth.  We took lots of photos and are keeping an album to remind us of our journey.

Please keep in touch Ignatio, as we would love to hear how you are doing.

I forgot to thank you for your lovely gift.  We have clipped a photo of both of us in it as a wonderful reminder.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards

Margaret and Nick

NEW EXPERIENCE HOLIDAYS

Hi Ignacio,

yesterday (June 5, 2009) we came back to Germany but our minds are still full with impressions from Maestrazgo.

I have just had a look at my pictures which I took on our Maestrazgo tour from Molinos to Mirambel and I thought to smell the odour of the herbes again.  It was a wonderful holiday! Optimal weather, excellent accomodation, friendly peolpe, beautiful landscape and the silence: Everything was perfect.  We will come back for sure.

Thank you again for your excellent support and organization.

All the best to you.

See you

Antonia & Heinz

March 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment
